Freedom Soldier - 2004

Freedom Soldier is a special benefit project that was composed by Aaron as a tribute to both his father and to the American soldier. A portion of the proceeds is being donated towards care packages for our troops overseas. All the music on the album was written, produced, and performed solely by Aaron and is a portrayal of an American soldier and his experiences during war. Aaron’s father, Marc Denny, who passed away in 1990, was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a professional musician for over 25 years. Much of the inspiration to write Freedom Soldier came from Marc’s influence on Aaron, both from a musical standpoint and in the wisdom he offered to him. Marc would often spend hours telling Aaron about the trials and tribulations in his own life and about the importance of calling on God in times of trouble. Thus, many years later Freedom Soldier came about as a reflection of Marcs’ legacy and the ever changing and turbulent state of the world today.
